Quitting is sometimes a blessing in disguise!

I want to bust the myth ‘ Quitting is for losers ‘.Why? Because quitting sometimes means redirection. It may simply mean you’ve outgrown your current status/position and now you are moving on to a different direction.Let’s remove the stigma guys. You can’t get stuck to a thing,a process,a relationship or a business that is not serving you well;you gotta quit if you can’t re-strategize.If you do your calculations and you realize quitting will pay you higher dividends than holding on,then, come on,quit and don’t feel guilty about it.I know you are a fighter, you want to keep fighting,to keep trying, you want to see where it leads, where it ends but in your head it’s obvious that it’s a lost case;now, why waste your energy and time?just quit!. Move on to other things!. Mambo ni mengi, masaa ndo machache! It’s not even healthy to drain your energy into something that is or will not not give you results either in the short run or long run simply because you do not want to feel like a looser. For your information, winners also quit and quitting is sometimes a blessing in disguise.Actually, you create space for something better to enter your life when you quit.

I know you want to ace through so bad because you’ve heard cliches like winners never quit ,quitters never win and losers never win(how do the saying go?πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚) but I want you to know that embarking into fruitless endeavours is what is making you get stuck in one position.Conquer the fear of the unknown and quit with a hope that the best is awaiting you ahead;that’s because you deserve better.Sometimes its when you quit that your eyes open and you come to realize of the many other options available and existing limitless possibilities that you couldn’t see when you were attached. You start thinking outside the box because you’re out of your comfort zone. You start being creative or even more outgoing, you start building, you start going out of your way and you even become more open minded. And now the big win! You start experiencing a turn around .

I don’t see a reason why you’d hold on to something that’s affecting your mental health, physical health, draining you emotionally or maybe causing you psychological problems. You got to realize sometimes holding on does more harm than letting go.Quitting may be a painful process because of the attachments you may have developed with something/someone but in the long run you’ll come to realize that it was worth it.

Sometimes it’s because you’re wondering what people will say when you quit. And yes, they’ll talk;but just do it for you,for your wellbeing.Thats what matters most.

At this point,I feel like am saying something wrong because quitting is a dreaded word in today’s society,I mean, it feels like it shouldn’t be even part of our vocabulary but I want to reiterate,if it’s not worth your energy and time, just quit!

  1. Awesome post! πŸ†πŸ†πŸ†And you’re absolutely right, Prissy! There are situations and circumstances when it’s wise to quit. One instance is when you’re being bullied and mobbed at work. When you work in a toxic environment like that, it’s better to quit and move on to a safer and healthier environment. And, as you said earlier, the same goes with staying in a toxic relationship.

Thank you so much for posting! πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

    1. I’ve been in a situation several times where I was afraid of quitting because of the fear of unknown or at times dreaded quitting because of the work I’ve put in to build that thing I was considering quitting from.Am a testimony though that quitting is a blessing in disguise because whenever I quitted something better came my way.

Am glad you liked the post πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³

      1. Absolutely! πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’― Me too, Prissy. Many times. And that fear only keeps us stuck. And, as was with you, “something better came my way.” I admire you for having the courage to quit. It’s a part of letting go of what keeps you stuck.
